BODY
The Rhoden family lived quietly in Pike Country, a peaceful area where everyone knew each other. A normal neighbourhood, normal people but behind closed doors something was unfolding that would turn into a mystery. On the April night, someone entered four different homes and shot eight people. The victims included Christopher Rhoden Senior, his Ex wife Dana Rhoden, their children, and other family members. Each member was shot multiple times in the head. What made this crime more mysterious is that the killers didn’t harm the three young children present at the scenes. It seems that this was not random violence that was planned.
For two years, the case remained unsolved. The community people lived in fear. People are more careful about their safety. Behind the scenes the investigators were working on the biggest criminal case in Ohio history to find the real culprit. The crime scenes were spread across multiple locations.

In November 2018, the truth finally came out. Four members of Wagner's family were arrested. Jake Wagner, his brother George and their parents Angela and Billy. The family knew each other. They were neighbours. The reason was shocking. Jake Wagner had a daughter with nineteen year old Hannah Rhoden. When custody problems began to arise, Jake wanted complete control but Rhodens refused. So they would kill the entire family. For three months, they planned everything. They bought guns and special equipment. They watched the Rhoden homes, learning their routines. Then, on the terrible night, they carried out their plan.
Actually a few years back, Jake Wagner had begun a relationship with Hanna Rhoden when she was only 13. They both have one daughter named Sophia. After some time their relationship has ended and Hannah won’t give up her daughter. So the real motive behind killing so many innocent people was Jake wanted his daughter back.
Jack Wagner later confessed to shooting five people himself. He received life in prison with a chance of release after thirty two years. His brother George got life without release. Their mother Angela received thirty years.
The Pike Country Massacre reminds us that evil doesn’t come from strangers. Sometimes it comes from people you know, people you trust, people who live right next door. This case reminds us of hard reality.
